At O2, it’s our belief that everyone should have the confidence to enjoy the digital world. That’s why we launched our ground-breaking partnership with the NSPCC. The partnership aims to help keep kids safe online by equipping parents with the skills, knowledge and confidence to have regular conversations with their children about online safety.
From our e-learning; to Net Aware (www.net-aware.org.uk); to our Online Safety Helpline; to our fundraising challenge (which you smashed) or the feature as part of our More For You campaign, we've already achieved a lot! It is these initiatives and your support that have enabled us to drive awareness of the issue and encourage more families to talk about online safety. In fact, so far we’ve reached over 3 million parents across the UK.
Now we are into year 2 of the partnership and gearing up to launch our next offering - online safety tutorials in local communities and we need your help! Are you a member of a local book club? Involved with a local scout group? Supporter of a local sports team or interested in making connections with your local council? If you are itching to get out there and talk to parents about online safety and setting up their tech to help keep their kids safe online then this is the opportunity for you!
RSVP today and you will be first to receive our how to deliver an online safety tutorial and presentation pack! The pack will contain everything you need to host a session with confidence, handy tips and FAQs, guidance on places you can approach to run a session along with a complete presentation to use and speaker notes and of course, any session you run will count towards your annual Think Big objective!
By signing up, you will be contacted by email as soon as the packs are available, but why not start thinking about where you are going to deliver in the mean time? We want to maximise our message therefore it is important to note that to avoid duplication and extend our reach, all sessions in schools will be delivered by NSPCC as child welfare experts. But there are plenty of other places where parents get together so get creative!
And don't forget to join the conversation at our O2 NSPCC Yammer group!
